Celebrating Fourth of July in Brainerd Lakes AreaNothing says summer like a Fourth of July Celebration – especially in the Brainerd Lakes Area. You can arrive on Friday, July 1, and find a new celebration to attend every day. From parades to corn on the cob, street dances to those amazing fireworks displays you’ll find a summer of fun for the whole family.

Celebrate the 4th of July family style at Cragun’s Resort. Cragun’s Resort and Madden’s Resort partner every year on a fabulous fireworks display. This year, the fireworks display will happen on Monday, July 4 at dark (usually around 10:00 pm). Bring your blanket and find a spot on Madden’s golf course (just off Cragun’s parking lot) or Cragun’s beaches or docks or rent a boat and watch the fireworks from Gull Lake.

Other 4th of July Celebrations in the Brainerd Lakes Area include:

• Saturday, July 2:
2016 Celebrate America in Crosslake – 2016 marks the 46th year the community of Crosslake has been celebrating America’s freedom with a fantastic fireworks display. This year’s fireworks will happen on Saturday, July 2 from Sand Island. Views are best from a boat, but if you’re on the shore, the County Road 16 Bridge on the northwest side of Crosslake near The Wharf offers parking on the shoulders – bring a lawn chair and sit next to your car. The fireworks can also be viewed from the beaches at the US Army Corp Crosslake Recreation Area (Campground).

• Sunday, July 3:
Pequot Lakes Stars and Stripes Days include fireworks, parades and entertainment. This two-day event is loaded with family friendly entertainment including food vendors, bands and fireworks by Zambelli Fireworks International at the High School Ball Fields. The celebration continues on Monday, July 4, with a pancake breakfast, flea market and parade.
Nisswa Freedom Day Celebration and Parade is on Sunday, July 3 starting at 10:00 am with a Crafter’s Market. Eats and Treats will be available throughout town, turtle races at 2:00, a Kiddie Parade at 5:30 and then the Freedom Day Parade at 7:00 p.m. Be sure to stay around for the street dance at the Pickle Factory from 8:30-12:30.

• Monday, July 4:
The American Celebration in Brainerd with fireworks at Don Adamson Field. 4th of July activities start at noon with a free Corn on the Cob feed followed by a parade and then entertainment featuring Hairball.
