Cragun’s Recreation Staff “On Board” for a Great Summer of Fun!
Our Recreation Staff recently hit the water (pretty chilly in early June) to try out our new Stand Up Paddleboards so they will be ready to help you learn the techniques of this great new sport. We will be offering some great options with the new Stand Up Paddleboards in order to teach new users how to paddleboard:
Learn how to paddleboard by starting with a brief intro to the equipment. We will cover paddle adjustments, paddle stroke techniques, mounting your board and stance, efficiency with your paddle stroke, and safety. Objective #1 – have a lot of fun!
Our High Intensity Interval Training Paddleboard class is great for everyone that loves to be on the water. The 35 minute class will have you working your whole body as you balance and paddle along the shore of Steamboat Bay.
A forty-five minute sunset paddle board cruise, led by our Recreation Staff, around Steamboat Bay. Your cruise will finish up with a beverage at the Sundeck Snack Bar or the Bear Trap Lounge!
Begin your Paddleboard Yoga experience with a deep breath. Slowly let go of tension while loosening your muscles and joints. Then enter the calm water as you settle within. Begin to move with your paddleboard through dynamic and static postures as you float above. Let the motion challenge and build core strength while allowing the water to become your guide.
