1. January 3, 2004
My husband proposed to me at Cragun’s on January 3, 2004. It was freezing cold and there was no snow. Therefore, his plan to propose on a horse drawn sleigh ride was impossible. His back up plan to propose while ice fishing went out the door when our picnic lunch was placed on the heater and caught on fire! Nevertheless, a proposal in our room was just perfect. I will never forget the booming noises that echoed across Gull Lake as he asked me to spend my life with him. More than 12 years and two beautiful children later, we still reminisce about our amazing stay. Each anniversary, we clink our Cragun’s wine glasses together and marvel at our blessings. Thank you Cragun’s for being a part of our story!

2. Five of the Best Minutes In My Life
My eyes were just opening… I look over and my husband was standing on the balcony. He was completely still. Taking in all of the view… it was as if he was frozen in time. I watched him smile… then gently laugh as some birds flew by. He looked over at me and smiled as he reached his hand out toward me. I went over to him (after grabbing a breath mint?) gave him a kiss and held his hand as the rest of the birds woke up. It was five of the best minutes in my life!

3. Always An Adventure
We have been going to Cragun’s since before we had kids. We now have three and they all LOVE going and spending a few days at Cragun’s, our whole family looks forward to it all year. We enjoy all the activities indoor and out. They also love the hallways. One of our favorites is when we let the kids lead us to where we are going, it becomes quite an adventure. We have a blast every time we go and we make LOTS of amazing memories!

4. Doubles Anyone
Back in 2004 my husband and I brought our little boy up to Cragun’s for a winter family vacation before the arrival of our new baby. We enjoyed the indoor pool and the room very much. We played some indoor tennis too! The following week we went home and found out from the ultrasound that our son Connor would become the big brother of TWINS! I had been playing tennis with two babies in there! Ha, ha ??!
