Below are brief descriptions of positions at Cragun’s Resort. Most of the positions will have varied hours and will likely include nights and weekends. Additionally, our resort is busiest during the summer holidays; most positions require employees to be available to work Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day.

Bartender: Set up, serving and clean-up for bar customers, preparing beverages and able to correctly operate all aspects of cash register and handle money.

Cocktail Service: Set up, serving and clean-up for bar customers.

Conference Services/Marina: The Conference Services department handles the room set-up for conferences as well as servicing all guests at the Marina. Arrange tables, chairs, AV equipment and other supplies that are needed for conference functions throughout the resort. In the summer, assist customers with bait, gas, docking, rentals and lake knowledge. In the winter, assist with skating rink maintenance, ice fish house set up and rentals, snowmobile rentals and knowledge of the local snowmobile trails.

Cook: Prepares meals for guests including breakfast, lunch and dinner; plated and buffet depending on the type of guest being served.

Dining Room/Banquet Service Staff: Greet and seat guests. Set up, serving and clean-up for meals, table service and buffets.

Dishwasher: Cleaning all dishes, silverware, pots and pans, assist cook and handle garbage removal.

Bus Person: Cleans and resets tables; maintains cleanliness of restaurant.

Front Desk/Guest Service Representatives: Ability to work with computer, check guests in and out in an efficient, friendly manner and handle money. This person is the first point of contact at the resort and must be able to interact with guests and provide information on the resort and local area both in person and on the phone.

Vacation Sales Consultant: Handle all incoming phone calls regarding vacation stays at the resort including family reunions and larger groups. Computer skills required as well as a pleasant phone personality. This position will also make outgoing phone calls to previous guests and must be able to communicate clearly and effectively via e-mail and online Chat.

Housekeeping: Responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, reporting any maintenance issues to proper department.

Laundry: Loading and unloading washing machines and dryers, folding clean laundry and ironing table linens.

Maintenance: Maintain and repair buildings and systems, replace as needed and assist in improvements to the facility.

Grounds Maintenance: Responsible for mowing, weeding, watering, and other lawn maintenance; cleaning and maintenance of beaches; other landscape projects as directed by manager.

Recreation: Work with Recreation Supervisor on planning and implementing activities for our guests including games, sports and fitness activities. Also responsible for staffing Cragun’s Sports Centre.

Security: Provide security presence for the resort on a 24 hour per day basis. Staff security hut, do cabin and room checks, assist at weddings and other large events and work to maintain the safety of guests at the resort.

Golf Course

Golf Course Maintenance: Responsible for excellent condition of the golf courses including watering, mowing and general maintenance.

Golf Outside Services: Assists guests with clubs and golf carts, insuring a friendly welcome to Cragun’s Legacy Courses. Assist in Pro Shop as needed.

Pro Shop: Assist guests with tee times both on the phone and in person, check in golfers and assist with purchases. Able to work with a computer and phone system and provide excellent guest service.

Wait Staff/Beverage Carts: Set up, serve guests, clean and stock as needed.
