2. Christmas Memories?
3. Dance Floor Twirl?
4. All The Family-Fun Activities?
Not a bite on Christmas Day! We were so excited to be able to ice fish on Christmas Day, rented our ice house weeks before our arrival in case this was a popular attraction – we were the only ones out fishing on Christmas and didn’t even get one bite! We hung out for the four hour rental time, played games and sang Christmas songs! It was better than a day with all the extended relatives!

It was Christmas about 10 years ago when my wife and our youngest son came to Cragun’s for a few days. My daughter was in Ethiopia in the Peace Corps and my oldest son was in Turkey with the Air Force. This was the first time our family had been apart for Xmas and my wife and I were feeling a bit down and not in the Xmas spirit. We decided to go to Cragun’s again, we hadn’t been there since our honeymoon many many years ago. We had such a wonderful time back then and we were hoping it could revive some great old memories. So we packed ourselves up and our 15 year old son and made the trip through a blizzard and arrived safely on Xmas Eve. We were received warmly and warmed ourselves in front of the huge fireplace in the lobby… feeling better already! Our fireplace room was great. We put on our swimsuits and went to the pool. Our son played ping-pong with a little girl who had only one arm and he would let her beat him. She would laugh hysterically and it was very contagious. We were all laughing in no time!! That is just one of the wonderful memories we had that weekend. Thank you for such a wonderful place to make a lifetime of memories.

When my children were first married, we started coming to the Cragun’s New Year’s Eve celebration. We took part in the dog sled experience, went snowmobiling, (where I decided I really love to go fast), experienced the dog sled ride and enjoyed massages. The highlight was celebrating as a family with food and dancing. My husband and I were taking dance lessons so we had fun pulling the kids on to the dance floor for a twirl. MY favorite memory was taking part in the discussion with the girls about starting their families. We now have four grandchildren with one more on the way. We look forward to sharing time again with the little ones.

Our favorite Cragun’s memory was on New Year’s Eve. We had created a new family tradition by spending a few days at Cragun’s over the holiday and taking in all the family-fun activities at the resort. One year, we had a terrible snowstorm on New Year’s and some of the activities had to be cancelled, which could have been a disaster, but wasn’t. The resort came up with alternative activities, which made for a fun-filled family celebration and one we won’t soon forget!
