1. Boys Growing Up at Cragun’s

Our boys are growing up Cragun’s! We have vacationed at Cragun’s the past few years and I am amazed at how there is always something new for them to experience! From Camp Cragun’s, to fishing, tubing and all the fantastic activities right in the Brainerd Lakes area! We shut down the digital devices and connect as a family. Not only that, we are always warmly welcomed by all your friendly, gracious staff. Thanks, Cragun’s! We can’t wait to come back!

2. Many Happy Memories

My daughter on top of the climbing mountain in the lake. She worked and worked at climbing up that thing. It took her about 30 minutes, but it was worth it. She was victorious!
Same daughter fishing off the dock outside of our cabin. She wanted so desperately to catch something! I think the colors from the sunset are pretty in this one.
My adorable 4-year-old niece sitting on the boat.
The girls with the shirt they made for their Grandpa. He was thrilled to get his first tie-dyed shirt while at Cragun’s!

We had a group of 10 visit for the first time this past summer. We had my parents, my husband and our two children, my brother, his wife and their two children. My parents live on a lake, so they brought their boat for skiing, which worked really well. The lake was great for skiing, tubing, and wake boarding. The teenagers played a lot of ping-pong, we all took advantage of the outdoor pool near our cabin. We enjoyed the planned family activities that went on when wewere there during our five day stay. We played Bingo, the kids did Teen Fear Factor, the younger girls tried their hands at minnow races and made tie-dyed t-shirts. The guys golfed, fished, and golfed some more.

The highlight, though, for us was participating in Family Survivor. We had two teams (my very pregnant sister-in-law sat that one out) from our family and laughed more than we have in a long time. I watched as my 60-something parents participated with their grand kids in games where they had to bounce on giant inflatable horses and spin around with their foreheads on baseball bats. I started to panic when I saw my mother do a somersault off of the giant blow-up horse, but she hopped up and got right back on. This trip gave us many happy memories that we still talk about and will cherish for many, many years to come.

3. Favorite Ice Cream Flavor

During the 4th of July holiday, 1994, our family was lucky enough to spend time at Cragun’s. There was so much to do; swimming at the lake and pools, table tennis, basketball in the gym. For some unknown reason, though, my guys always left our vacations remembering the food. If you asked my oldest today what flavor this ice cream at Cragun’s was I bet he’d remember!

4. Had The Best Time

Cragun’s RULES!!! Last summer my family and I had the best time water tubing, dinning and finding an entirely new meaning for the word relax while at Cragun’s spa.
