1. Celebrate A Wedding & Enjoy A Vacation–Priceless
My husband and I got married at Cragun’s on September 10th, 2011. It was such a beautiful weekend. We had friends and family come from all over the U.S. to stay at the resort and celebrate with us. My husband hosted a golf tournament on Friday before our rehearsal dinner at the Legacy and we got married the next day on the North Beach with a reception on the Sun Deck and Hungry Gull. The weather was spectacular and all of our guests commented about how relaxing the resort is and how welcome they felt. I think that my husband’s 7 year old nephew summed up best how everyone felt about the weekend when he made us promise we all would come back for a one year anniversary party! There is so much for everyone to do. The accommodations were wonderful, the food is fabulous and all of our guests were not only able to celebrate a wedding, but enjoy a vacation at the same time which, is priceless. We are grateful for the memories and thankful to the staff at Cragun’s and the Legacy. We will be back!

2. June 24, 1962

It’s hard to believe that in June, fifty years will have gone by since Dutch signed our Honeymoon Certificate. I kept a day by day journal of our honeymoon week there. We spent a lot of time by the pool and Carl went golfing several times while I rode along in the “caddy cart” as I referred to it. Boy that has changed as I have been a golfer for the last forty years. Our sailing expedition was quite an experience. We flew across the lake, but knew nothing about sailing and couldn’t get enough wind to get back. We made it close to the shore and Carl got out and walked it back. I’ve never been sailing since. As our family grew it was such fun to bring our boys to Cragun’s. They especially loved those little red boats they could paddle around in and of course lots and lots of fishing. We’ll never forget the warm welcome we always received and Dutch and Irma going around to all the tables at dinner chatting to all their guests. Our week cost us $220.00 (WOW) Thanks for the memories.

PS: Looking at the Honeymoon Certificate, it is actually notarized by the Chamber of Commerce of Brainerd with their official seal.

3. Perfect Weekend–Golfing and Good Eats
We stayed at Cragun’s a couple of weeks ago and had a wonderful time. We were very impressed with the remodeled rooms and the very friendly staff. Friday night when we arrived we had a very nice dinner buffet and had a blast withthe free BINGO, we even won. Shorty after bingo, we were going to the bonfire and the power went out due to a fire on the transformer pole, fire trucks and a lot of commotion. We all gathered in the hotel lobby (lights were on there) and chatted with others, my son and I played cribbage it was so relaxing and we really didn’t have a care in the world, the rest of the weekend was just PERFECT, golfing and good eats!
