My “memory” is from four years ago when I first stayed at Cragun’s Resort. Although I was an adult, I felt like a kid. We roasted marshmallows, went for long walks, and swam in the indoor pool. Those are not the things that really made it special-we got locked out of our cabin, someone walked back with us to let us in, someone not only recommended a place to eat, but actually called the golf course restaurant to let them know that we were coming. What a wonderful family atmosphere. It also did not hurt that we were pampered along the way. We had a group of four and we all hated to leave. I have recommended this resort too many friends since.
The first one was when I hit a hole-in-one on the 11th hole of Bobby’s but the one that I will remember forever was the 12th hole on the Dutch–it’s a par five–I hit a great drive then hit a six iron to the green for a double eagle–my first one ever–my heart was pounding so hard and I could only think I finally did it. It meant everything to me. The way I love golf, that memory will keep me happy the rest of my life!
My favorite Cragun’s memory was our first visit to Cragun’s six years ago. Our family stayed in a pool side room over Spring Break. I was amazed by the size of the indoor swimming pool and spa. It was so relaxing for our family to stay at Cragun’s. We so enjoyed the continental breakfast pool side, easy to get to and good food. We loved the indoor tennis courts and basketball courts. Everything seemed so close by with no stress to get to. The grounds of Cragun’s were very cozy and intimate. The kids loved playing ping-pong and we could always see them. The staff was very professional and accommodating. We have made several trips back to Cragun’s since then over Spring Break, Weekend Getaways and Summer Golf. I would recommend Cragun’s to anyone–it has everything without the attitude.
