It’s not too often you stay close to your friends from high school. To say I am lucky is an understatement. From the goofy kid years through the awkward teens, we’ve seen the best and the worst of each other. Now here we are, breathing down the big 4-ohs neck, having more fun than we ever did as kids. Our yearly tradition is Girls Weekend up at Cragun’s, staying in cabins 690/691, enjoying massages in the spa and rocking the house with karaoke on Saturday night. The “Monty Girls” take over the stage for one night a year, making rock-stars out of moms. We just spent April 15-17 together again. This was the first Girls Weekend we had snow, the first someone wasn’t pregnant and the first someone didn’t burn a pizza in the oven. I hope we continue this tradition for many more years, these friends are some of the best I have and this time together is so special. Thanks Cragun’s for helping us make lasting memories together.
Cragun’s Resort…oh how my family loves you! I took the advice from a co-worker, she told me to plan a trip to Cragun’s. She has so many fond memories of her childhood vacations at your resort. I did as she told and booked our first Cragun’s vacation 5 years ago. We have been back every year since! Not only do our girls look forward to our annual vacation, myself and my husband cannot wait for summer to arrive to head North to Cragun’s too! It is our one time a year to slow life down and have fun!! Camp Cragun’s is awesome and the girls absolutely love the staff! So do we, it gives us “our” time to do some serious fishing 🙂 With so many activities to do, relaxing on the beach, exercising on your water bikes, lakeside bonfires, waiting for our s’mores, a movie on the beach–we always have fun at Cragun’s!
My brother Brandon recently stayed at Cragun’s at a company event and cannot stop talking about the wonderful setup that Cragun’s currently has in place. Whether it’s a family getaway, a social outing, or a business trip, Cragun’s is apparently the top and only place that should ever be considered. Thanks again for all you do and may you keep doing it!
A few years ago I took my girlfriend to Cragun’s for the weekend. I had just purchased an engagement ring and kept it in my pocket waiting for the right moment to “pop the question”. We were watching the sun set from the dock and I thought this is it!
I tried to get down on one knee, but misjudged the edge of the dock and fell into the lake. Well, I had the ring and the girl so I asked her to marry me while standing in a freezing cold lake. Lucky for me she said yes. I think it’s time to go back and show the kids where Dad proposed to Mom.
