With 73% of the votes, the winner of last week’s “Favorite Cragun’s Memory” poll was “Grandpa’s Fishing Contest” from Carrie.
“Coming to Cragun’s over the Fourth of July has been a family tradition for the past 13 years. Our kids have grown up looking forward to going to Cragun’s with grandma and grandpa, aunts and uncles and cousins. They love the pools and beach, trolley rides, games and fireworks. The vacation highlight, however, is always “grandpa’s fishing contest”! The eager kids get up early and board the boat with grandpa (and the willing dad helpers) in hopes of catching the first, the most, or the biggest fish!! Later that day, the kids gather around the table as grandpa hands out the awards and the coveted “grandpa dollars”! Last year our 6 year old son broke his leg in a biking accident only five days before heading to Cragun’s. He was a little sad about not being able to swim and play on the beach, but was able to have a great time with his cousins playing games, going for a trolley ride and participating in the famous “grandpa’s fishing contest”! Thanks, Cragun’s, for another great memory!!”
