2. Are We There Yet?
3. Some “Old-Fashioned” Patriotism?
4. Fun Being A Kid Again?
I actually just got back a couple hours ago from Cragun’s I was at a conference for Head Start and I took my kids with me. It was amazing the kids really enjoyed spending a wonderful time at the pool, and doing the other activities in the Sports Centre. I enjoyed engaging with them in ways you just cannot do at home. I love seeing them smile and relax and not fight. They are such amazing kids. And the staff makes it so easy to sit back and relax. They are smiley and personable! Watching my kids pretend while they are swimming is my favorite activity, I think!!

It was a long and dreary winter, one that seemed to never end…
Visions of Cragun’s have been dancing in our heads. Dad with his fishing pole, the kids at the beach, Mom with a book, listening to them screech.
“Are we there yet?” Is all we hear them say, 3 long hours till’ we can send them off to play.
The welcome buffet is always a special treat, especially for the kids who can never wait to eat!
Our to do list is at least a mile long. Horse back riding, swimming pool, s’mores by the fire? Mom is thinking to herself “surely they’ve have to tire!”
“Oh no” they say, we still have things to do! Camp Cragun’s, fishing and movies on the beach! So many exciting activities to do, all within our reach.
I gotta go, I have to pack, we will see you soon….
Exactly how many more months to wait until it is June???

I should be honest and say a few of my favorite stories was your July 4th celebration. It was good to see some “old-fashioned” patriotism and honor for our vets on display.
I got a chance to talk to Dutch and meet Tubby Smith. It was nice to see him in a relaxed setting with his hand on his heart during the National Anthem.
To top it off I was able to win the bid for the picture on display in the main entrance for the benefit for the vets.
Thank you Dutch and staff for running a first-class resort and I might add and the only “clean” major resort where I can one day bring my grandchildren and not worry about what will be on the TV.
God bless you and one more thing I cannot wait to get the Glastron out on the water and get some “crus’in and fish’in” in. I’VE HAD ENOUGH OF WINTER ALREADY!!!

I enjoy the experience of discussing our past Cragun’s memories every year during our annual family reunion to Cragun’s. Our family has been enjoying Cragun’s family reunions for 15 years. My youngest daughter was born the summer we first came to Cragun’s. My daughter is now 15 and very busy becoming an adult and shedding the things that would make her appear to be a child. Once a year at Cragun’s she seems to pause and relishes in the fun of being a kid again. It is fun to watch this annual transformation if only for one week each year. She enjoys the trolley rides, animal show, magician, movies on the beach and hanging out with her cousins.
