1. Rolling Out The Red Carpet
From the moment we made reservations we knew this was going to be an exciting getaway for our son. As we listed our names, including our sons, we were informed that our son and the owner of Cragun’s shared the same name (DUTCH). The staff’s excitement was contagious… upon arrival they had to meet Dutch personally and show us the DUTCH ROOM, which of course we had to take pictures of. In addition to all of the attention for Dutch we enjoyed the magic show (now Dutch wants to be a magician when he grows up!) Shot some hoops in the indoor Sports Centre, enjoyed karoke at the Bear Trap lounge and swam until we were prunes! We wanted to do so much more but just ran out of time. We had an amazing stay and maybe next visit Dutch & Dutch can meet. Thank you for making DUTCH feel like a CELEBRITY.

2. What Is Catch and Release
One year my kids said they wanted to go on a fishing vacation so we all went to the library to use the computers to research our options. After about 10 minutes, I looked over at the computer my husband was using and noticed we were both on the same website: Cragun’s. That was all it took and we booked our vacation. The first night there we enjoyed the Sunday night Welcome Party and buffet then headed to the beach and immediately saw some friends from home riding in the horse drawn carriage. We had such a fun week spending time with our friends, swimming, fishing, golfing, watching the wild animal show, and taking small car trips around the area. Our first fishing excursion in our rented boat my son asked me “Mom, what is catch and release?”. I laughed and said it was what we were doing, catching the fish and then releasing them. To this day the kids love to fish, but we always catch and release. We have been back many times since that first vacation. Every time we think we might go somewhere else, we end up back at Cragun’s. Thanks for all the great memories!

3. Best Place in MN
In my years of being a father of two boys, Cragun’s has been the best place in Minmnesota to take them on mini vacations.

4. Beginner’s Luck
I attended Cragun’s Kids Camp back in the 90s with my family. It was my first exposure and opportunity to try water-skiing. I remember waiting in the water for the boat to start pulling and trying to remember everything the counselors had said. Beginner’s luck – I got up on the skis on my first try! My parents and younger sister were standing on the South Beach waving to me as I skied around Steamboat Bay. I was so excited and proud! Thanks Cragun’s!
