Legacy Courses at Cragun’s To Salute Veterans Memorial Day Weekend 2005 with Free Round of Golf
Veterans Also Will Receive Discounted Lodging Through Veterans’ Day
BRAINERD April 13, 2005 – In Cragun’s continuing efforts to recognize the sacrifices of our nation’s military veterans, and to show their thanks, the Legacy Golf Courses at Cragun’s Resort on Gull Lake in Brainerd, Minnesota announced today that it will be hosting their 3rd annual Veteran’s Appreciation Golf Event on Memorial Day weekend, May 30 – 31, 2005. The Legacy will be offering complimentary greens fees to veterans at all three golf courses for the weekend with only a $10 per person charge for a GPS-equipped golf cart. Guests playing with veterans will receive the discounted resort guest golf rate.
For veterans who enjoy fishing, Cragun’s full-service marina on Gull Lake will also be providing complimentary fishing boats with motors on a first-come, reservation only, basis from Sunday, May 29th, 2005 – Tuesday, May 31st, 2005.
Any U.S. military veteran can also take advantage of Cragun’s Veterans Appreciation Package through Veterans’ Day, November 11, 2005. This offer entitles all veterans to a 15% lodging discount off Cragun’s “rack rate” for any Sunday-Thursday night stay. To receive this discount, veterans must call and ask for the room block especially reserved for veterans.
“We’re proud to be able to show our support for our military services.” Said resort owner Dutch Cragun. “As a veteran of the Korean War myself, I know how important it is to be thanked for serving our country. Now that we are at war again, the sacrifices of military families should not go unnoticed. That’s what our annual Veterans Appreciation Programs are all about”.
Last year, Cragun’s was pleased to host over 300 golfing and fishing veterans who enjoyed the camaraderie and meeting others who have given years of their lives in service to America.
Veterans that want to accept this invitation are encouraged to make their reservations by calling 1-800-CRAGUNS (800-272-4867). Be sure to ask for the Veterans Appreciation Package and be prepared to supply your name, rank and serial number.
