Schedule a lesson with Tim
Tim Johnson has returned to the Cragun’s Legacy staff to serve as the Head Golf Professional. He has been a member of the Brainerd community for 10 years. In 2008, Tim won the prestigious Minnesota PGA Assistant Championship when it was held in the Brainerd Lakes Area. He has been a PGA Class A member since 2012 and is active in the Minnesota PGA section.
Tim plays golf and believes the perception of golf lies solely on the individual holding the club. It can be played both as a competitive sport or recreational activity. “Introducing the game as a fun activity is very important to me.” He believes the fun aspect reassures the golfer to return to the course. However, for the competitive athlete, golf can challenge each individual separately. “Your biggest opponent is the course itself.”
Tim has adopted his own methods of teaching over the course of 10 years. He likes to rely on the student’s feel for the game of golf and improve the student’s current ability. “I like to improve the game the student brings to me and know each golfer’s swing is slightly different than the next.” Tim wants to get to know the student and set obtainable goals for them to reach together. In golf, any success is good success. He gives many lessons and clinics throughout the summer for all abilities. Tim is willing to work with you on customizing a golf lesson to fit your schedule and needs.
